I am currently a senior of international major at Hankuk Academy of Foreign Studies. I have had numerous hobbies and interests since I was a young child, and this has driven me to fulfill myself with unforgettable experiences. In my spare time, I enjoy playing Baduk, playing the violin, watching movies and listening to music. When in the adequate environment, I also enjoy archery. I love to play other more competitive and intense sports too, but I believe archery reflects my prudent and relatively serious personality. During my high school years, I have put utmost focus on math and sciences, participating in many competitions, winning awards and leading several clubs. When I study in college in the near future, I hope to major in either biomedical engineering or environmental engineering. In the long run, I am considering a forensic scientist or patent lawyer as a career. I know for a fact that once I become an individual with sufficient intellectual and financial abilities, I will be able to not only use it for myself but also for the good of those in our society who are in need of help. Hamuri is definitely the best starting point for me to learn this, and I am thankful for having had the opportunity to bring this community up to the current level.

부산국제고등학교에 재학 중인 우성민입니다. 주된 관심분야는 인문학과 경영학의 조화를 추구하는 ‘인문경영’입니다. 경영이라는 분야를 이해하기 위해서는 다양한 영역의 지식뿐만 아니라 많은 사람들과의 만남과 교류가 필요하다고 생각해 young하무리 활동에 도전하게 되었습니다. 처음에 생각했던 만큼 young하무리에서 많은 활동을 하지는 못했지만, 각자 다른 학교에 다니는 다양한 학생들과 교류하면서 많은 것을 배울 수 있었던 것 같습니다.

Hey this is Seungah, also called as Angie here. I was born in Gwangalli, Busan, which is a beautiful town near the beach. I’m currently living in Haeudae, which is by another beach (I guess I’m a beach person), being a senior highschool student. Although I spend much of my time studying these days, I still love spending time reading books, walking around my town, listening to folk music, and learning new things that aren’t actually related to things I learn at school. Basketball and biking are also things I cannot live without. My future dream has always been changing and I pretty much do not have a specific goal in life nowadays, but I am sure that I want to help the under-privileged with their education. I believe doing that would solve any major problems they’d face. For that, I’m planning to study international and cultural studies and liberal arts, which might gear me up with knowledges I need for the foundation of my educational courses. Anyway, it is such an honor to be participating in this meaningful project hamuri where students my age share thoughts and try to help our community step further. I would love to see hamuri growing, spreading positivity in our society.

안녕하세요? 부산 장안고등학교에 다니고 있는 3학년 이승연입니다. 새 교복을 입고, 좀 더 어른에 가까운 ‘고등학생’이 되었다는 이유만으로 설레던 새내기 고등학생이던 게 엊그제 같은데 학창시절의 마지노선에 선 고3이 되었다는 게 믿기지가 않네요. 저는 부산광역시 기장군에 있는 과학중점학교인 부산 장안고등학교에서 잊지 못할 학창시절을 보내고 있습니다. 집에서 차를 타고 한 시간정도 달려야 하는 거리에 떨어져 있고, 아침에 암탉 우는 소리가 잠을 깨워주고, 사방에는 푸릇푸릇한 벼가 자라고 있는 논밭이 펼쳐져 있는 정감 있는 풍경을 자랑하는 곳에서 기숙사 생활을 하며 공부하다 보니 문명과 떨어져 지내는 것 같아 갑갑한 면도 있지만, 그 속에서 친구들, 선생님과 더 끈끈한 정을 쌓고, 나아가 꿈을 찾고, 그 꿈을 향해 더 열심히 나아갈 수 있는 것 같습니다. 저는 암 치료법을 연구하는 생명과학자라는 꿈을 가지고 있습니다. 이 꿈은 고등학교 1학년 때, 대학 연계 R&E 에서 암 발현을 촉진하는 물질을 조절하는 기작에 대해 연구하면서 암 발현에 여러 가지 경로가 있듯, 암 치료에도 여러 가지 경로가 있을 것이고 가장 효과적인 치료법을 찾아내고 싶다는 막연한 바램에서 시작되었고, 그 꿈을 위해 열심히 달려가고 있습니다.

Hello, my name is Jihoon Kang, currently a senior at the Global Leader Program at the Bugil Academy. I love to study economics and computer science, and I hope to become a computer programmer or an entrepreneur one day. --Actually, my biggest concern these days...-- Sports is also a big part of me. I am currently enrolled in the Lacrosse and Soccer varsity team of our school, and often practice it intensely with my teammates. My excessive love for tea is also well known to my friends. It is the biggest stress-reliever in my strenuous school life, so I try to drink tea every day, sometimes with my classmates, and sometimes, even with my teachers. My love for tea led to it becoming the graduation thesis, which is “Comparison of Korean Tea and Japanese Tea”. You might be able to find some of my works in this website!
